WATER FLOWING LIGHT ELECTRONIC KIT: This water flowing light electronic kit is mainly composed of clock generation circuit and decimal counter circuit, and self-excited multivibrator with NE555 as the core.
CHARGE CAPACITOR C1: The water flowing light module’s power source charges the capacitor C1 through R2, R3, and R4. When C1 starts charging, the 2 pin of NE555 is still at a low level, so the output pin 3 is at a high level, when the power supply passes through R2, R3, and R4 to C1. When charging to 2/3 supply voltage, the output pin 3 level changes from high to low.
ADJUST R4 TO CONTROL OUTPUT FREQUENCY: The charging time is: 0.695 (R2+R3+R4)C1, and the discharge time is 0.695 (R4+R3)C1. Adjusting R4 can control the output frequency of the oscillator. (ie adjusting the R4 to adjust the flow speed of the LED light).
CYCLE FORMS OSCILLATION: The led chaser diy kit’s inner discharge tube of NE555 is turned on, and the capacitor C1 is discharged through the 7 pins of R4, R3, and NE555. When the voltage across C1 is lower than 1/3 of the power supply voltage, the level of the 3 pin of NE555 changes from low level to high level. The .C1 is charged again, and the cycle forms an oscillation.

10 LEDS: The clock oscillation signal of NE555 is continuously added to the 14th pin of CD4017. There are 10 LEDs connected to the 10 output terminals of CD4017. When the 10 output terminals of CD4017 alternately generate high level under the action of clock signal, D1– D10 is sequentially illuminated to form a street light effect.
